MiSTercade controller mappings¶
Use the interactive installer when possible. It detects MiSTercade V2 versus V1-family hardware, removes conflicting profiles, and backs up replaced files.
Choose a behavior¶
| Choice | Behavior |

| Standard | Normal coin and Start behavior. Recommended default. |
| Freeplay | Start also inserts a coin for cabinet-friendly freeplay. |
| OSD/menu | Down + Start opens the MiSTer menu. Recommended default. |
| No-menu | Disables the Down + Start menu shortcut. |
Install only one profile for the connected hardware version.

Manual installation¶
- Download one profile.
- Copy it to the root of the MiSTer SD card beside
downloader.ini. - Remove any other MiSTercade mapping profile for a different version or behavior.
- Run
update_all. - Confirm the controller mapping files were installed under
/media/fat/config/inputs.
